This evening Andrea and the girls invited me to go with them to the 10th annual Festival of the Nativities at one of our local church buildings. It is a pleasant activity that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas and sets a calm, peaceful tone for the season. It is open to the public free of charge and for many it has become an annual tradition. I have gone several times over the years. A couple of years ago I helped with it and last year Andrea helped.
There are hundreds of nativities displayed
Many are made from unusual materials.
Some are more traditional.
Others are from other areas of the world. The variety is amazing.
It other areas of the church there are activites and fun things for the kids to do.
The girls were able to make a little baby Jesus and here they are making donkey ornaments.
Kaitlyn was pleased with how both of her things turned out and gave the baby Jesus a ride on the head of her donkey.
