People think of hearts for Valentine's Day, but they are fitting for Christmas, too. This year, my mother gave my sister and myself one of these flowery heart ornaments. She also gave my daughter (her only granddaughter) one that says, 'granddaughter' on it. This will always be a treasure that will not only be on the outside to see, but inward to feel.The message on the ornament says,

The hot pink heart is one that my daughter-in-law, Heather gave me a couple of years ago.
I started babysitting Mya as Heather went back to work after giving birth.
One day Heather called to see how it was going with Mya. Little Mya had been fussy and in my arms most of the day. That evening (close to Christmas) when Heather came to get Mya, she brought me this heart.... So sweet and thoughtful!
