This afternoon I watched Mya while Kevin and Heather went to an ultra-sound appointment to learn more about how baby Brennan is doing. While Mya was here she decided she wanted to sit at the counter, which was fine with me. I decided to pull a couple of things out of the kitchen drawers for her to play with.... a scoop and an egg separator and also gave her a cut up pear to eat. Well, she decided that the pear wasn't going to be for eating. The pieces ended up being scooped up and put into the egg separator. I then decided to give her a small plastic bowl of Cherrios. She was thrilled and started doing the same with those then pouring them into her mouth. After a while I figured she was probably getting thirsty so I gave her a sippy cup of juice. Again, that also needed to be poured inside the separator then she tried to drink the juice from that...it was so funny to watch her as she would carefully put it to her lips and then have the juice run down the front of her from the crack in the separator. She couldn't figure it out. You could just see the big question mark above her head. She was being so careful yet not getting the results she thought she should. So funny!
Oh! and the news?!?! When Kevin and Heather got back from the appointment they shared that the doctor is planning to induce a week early as the baby is already 6 pounds and doesn't want Heather to suffer the kind of labor she did with Mya. So, it looks like little Brennan will be here around the 10th of October...if not sooner. We are excited...not only to meet Brennan but also for Heather! Maybe that is what Mya was sharing on the phone? :-)
